I found it to be a very helpful guide. I just used it to migrate 500+ blog posts from Typepad (which is shutting down at the end of this month) to a Bluehost site I had previously set up (for non-Wordpress content).

I couldn’t find a plugin named “Auto Upload Images” but did find one named “Smart Auto Upload Images”, so installed that.

I neglected to check whether there were missing images before selecting all posts and selecting “Edit” and clicking “Apply” (after installing the plugin), but it appears the migrated posts I’ve checked so far all have images.

Typepad, where I have been hosted since 2006 is shutting down on September 30, 2025. You allowed me to transfer all my old content!

I have one question: There no longer seems to be a “Permalinks” option under Settings. Do you know if it has moved somewhere? Thanks again.

The rest of the directions are stellar allowing me to help a friend copy over posts from over twenty years. the photos will take longer. the permalinks we are not doing (they do not need a business plan)

I’m sure this info will come in handy. one question: How hard is it to extract a Typepad subscriber list? I’ve looked at my Feedburner account and am stumped.

But, that plugin for images didn’t work – do you know of any other plugins/solutions that might work for a blog with approx 10,000 images?

Thanks,
Pete
