Great question! Sponsored blog posts are similar to guest posts but differ in a couple different ways.

With sponsored posts there is usually a financial factor, so the company or brand has paid you to post their content (or content written by you on their behalf) to your blog. Also, these posts are typically overtly promotional, pointing out the features of that specific product/brand. Many times, product reviews are sponsored posts.

For guest posts, these are usually not paid, and the guest poster is providing you a written article for your blog with the expectation that you will leave a dofollow link back to their website thus building their authority.
